Top 10 Idol : Tonight was the end of the road for Matt Giraud on American Idol as he was ratted off the reality singing contest. Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta were the first two sent to safety. This left a big surprise with Adam Lambert in the bottom three.
Natalie Cole performed ‘Somethings Gotta Give’ to a mixed response. She was followed by former Idol winner Taylor Hicks who sang ‘Seven Mile Breakdown’ from his new album.
Bottom Three: Kris Allen, Matt Giraud, Adam Lambert
Kris Allen was the first contestant sent to safety, which meant that Matt and Adam were the two lowest vote getters for the week.
Before we found out that Matt was eliminated we were treated to one of the worst lip sync performances of all-time by Jamie Foxx. Foxx didn’t even half way attempt to sing and the performance made it pretty clear how manufactored a lot of songs are that are released and make it into the top ten today.
ELIMINATED: Matt Giraud
This leaves Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Kris Allen, and Adam Lambert as the Idol Final Four.
