Runway sweepers out. 9:49 a.m. Word is takeoff still to north. Taxi any minute. 9:41 a.m. Trying to confirm word that takeoff will be to south. 9:35 a.m. Employees cheering for camera. 9:28 a.m. Word is that engines have started. I can’t hear from here. I’m here at Everett’s Paine Field awaiting first flight of Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner. There’s no rain at the moment and little wind, so the only question left is whether the clouds are high enough. “It’s going to come down to ceiling,” Boeing spokesman Jim Proulx said at about 9 a.m. “They feel pretty good.” I’ll continue to update this post and will, hopefully, have LIVE VIDEO of the takeoff here.
