NBC Olympic Hockey Schedule Angers American vs Canada Enthusiasts. NBC has been widely criticized for their Olympic coverage. Today, the icing on the cake is that NBC is tape-delaying the USA vs Canada match, while showing the Russia vs. Czech Republic match live.
Yes, you read that right. The network with American rights to broadcast the Olympics isn’t showing the American hockey game live. Instead, they are going to wait until the game is done and everyone knows the final score because you can check it online – and THEN show us the game.
Gee, thanks NBC!
Those who love downhill skiing aren’t too pleased either. The network doesn’t plan on airing any of those events today, so those following this winter sport will have to resort to other forms of broadcast such as live streams on the Vancouver 2010 Official Web site. (continue reading…)

Nodar Kumaritashvili, nodar kumaritišvili video. Nodar Kumaristashvili is the young luger who was killed during Olympic practice training. Kumaristashvili’s death has created many questions about the safety of luge as a sport, the integrity of the track in Vancouver and the ethical concerns of airing a graphic video like the one that shows the death of the luger.
